This humpback whale was photographed by PCCS scientists working on Stellwagen Bank. Try to identify the whale by comparing its fluke to images of four previously cataloged humpback whales. Click here for matching instructions and tips.
Look at the flukes again. Does the black pigment extend along the top of the flukes, or does it end partway across? Examine the lighter portion of the tail for a specific mark to compare and try again.
