Volunteers Remove 2000 Pieces of Trash from Long Point
(PROVINCETOWN, Mass.) - Volunteers led by the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies collected over 300 pounds of trash, about 2000 individual items from Long Point Beach in Provincetown, on September 25th as part of COASTSWEEP, a statewide beach cleanup.
PCCS offers its profound gratitude to Napi and Helen Van Derek of Napi's Restaurant for donating lunch to all participants and Flyer's Boat Rental Provincetown for shuttling volunteers to and from Long Point Beach.
The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting marine mammals and ecosystems in the Gulf of Maine and beyond through applied research, education, public policy initiatives and management strategies.
