PCCS Will Host Art Exhibit and Opening
to Raise Awareness of Marine Debris

(PROVINCETOWN, Mass.) - The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies will host an Art Exhibit and Opening entitled "Troubled Waters" beginning Friday, September 3, 6 p.m. at the Hiebert Marine Lab, 5 Holway Avenue in Provincetown.

"Troubled Waters" features the work of Elizabeth Leader, a mixed media artist inspired by human interaction with the marine environment.

The exhibit will be on display throughout the month of September to raise awareness about marine debris and its effect on oceans and the animals that inhabit them. PCCS will also host its annual beach clean up as part of Coastsweep, on September 25 in Provincetown. To learn more about upcoming events or the "Troubled Water's" exhibit on display throughout September, call Tanya Grady at 508.247.7665.

During the last few years, Elizabeth Leader has exhibited her work nationally and internationally and won many awards. She currently lives in Buffalo, New York and maintains a studio at the Tri-Main Center, an old industrial building in the inner city. She can be reached online at www.elizabethleader.com.

The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies is a non profit organization dedicated to preserving marine and coastal ecosystems of the Gulf of Maine and beyond through applied research and education and encourage responsible use of our most precious resource, the world's oceans.
