    September 3 Sunset Harbor Cruise to Benefit PCCS & Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum

    (Provincetown, Cape Cod, MA) - Board the Capt. Red of Portuguese Princess Excursions on Sunday, September 3, for a Sunset Harbor Cruise from 6 to 8 p.m. to benefit the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies (PCCS) and the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum.

    Boston Spirit Magazine and Portuguese Princess Excursions will sponsor the event with support from Provincetown's Tourism Office and catering provided by Provincetown Parties.

    The Sunset Cruise will depart Provincetown from Fisherman's Wharf, adjacent to MacMillan Pier. Only 200 tickets - at $20 apiece - will be sold for this event. A cash bar and light fare will be provided.

    "The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies and the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum represent what is wonderful about this town's past and present day cultures," explained Jay Hurley, director of marketing at Portuguese Princess Excursions, and partners with the Center in whale watching from May through October.

    The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies was founded in 1976 and is dedicated to researching and protecting marine mammals and marine ecosystems in the Gulf of Maine, through applied research, conservation, environmental and education programs. Its world-renowned whale disentanglement team operates under a permit from NOAA Fisheries Service.

    The Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum commemorates the Pilgrims' first landing in America. This summer, the Pilgrim Monument began a year-long celebration to honor the Centennial Celebration of the official Laying of the Cornerstone which took place in August 2007.
